Infectious Diseases Group
The Infectious Diseases Group of Pakistan Paediatric Association (PPA) is a specialty group of Paediatricians of Pakistan with special interest in Paediatric Infectious Diseases. Although relatively new, memberships are continuously increasing and the group has been active in various CME activities, in collaboration with National and International organizations. This group arranged Pakistan’s first ever Paediatric Infectious Diseases Conference in Nov. 2006 at Lahore, Pakistan, in which WHO, UNICEF and British Allergy, Immunology and Infection Group of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health [UK] participated. Our objective is to promote research, training, advancement in clinical practice, and prevention of Infectious Diseases in a setting with low resources.
